Dear Students,
There will be a change the ADN uniform effective Fall 2010. The decision has been made based on suggestions from hospitals, faculty and current practice of other ADN programs. The change will be to white uniforms made by Dove, Inc. Soon, Dove, Inc. will construct a webpage for Delta where students will order all uniforms. The new policy will be that all students will purchase a new uniform from Dove, Inc. The required uniform will consist of a white zip-up top (approx. $45), and white unisex pants (approx $29). A white mock turtle neck and white jacket will also be available through Dove, but not required if students do not need long sleeves. Students may need the jacket or mock turtle neck for warmth or to cover tattoos.
All current ADN students will be required to change to the new uniform for Fall 2010. While this may seem like a burden to students who are in the last year of the ADN program, it will serve as the white uniform that is usually purchased for certification and pinning. We believe that the uniform will be very helpful in improving our professional image in the community. All students will still purchase patches from the SNA. Instructions for sewing patches on the uniform and jacket will be given. All patches must be sewn on - not pinned or ironed.
Sample uniforms for fitting will be available in May and students will be notified of days they can try on the new uniforms to ensure correct sizing.
