Dear Graduating Students,
Unfortunately there seems to be some misunderstanding regarding the standards of dress and music for the pinning ceremony. Please note clarifications below:
Dress:
White Delta Dove Uniforms with Patches. The only variation from this that was approved was a dress option for females. Should someone choose a dress option, it must meet the same standards of body coverage as the Dove uniform dress e.g. length is at the knee, fit is professional (not form-fitting and no revealing of breasts).
Music:
Music will be chosen by faculty and myself and will be in keeping with both the celebratory and professional nature of the pinning ceremony.
Decorum:
As we have discussed in the past, please notify family and friends who are attending about the Atherton theater rules regarding balloons and air-horns as outlined in Prof. Neville's letter. In addition, please remind them of expected Pinning Ceremony decorum.
We are interested in each student receiving the applause and recognition they deserve and individuals who continue to hoot and holler so the next persons name cannot be heard are depriving that person and their family of an opportunity.
Please accept our apologies for any miscommunication. We are looking forward to a wonderful ceremony. We encourage all to return to Delta for Commencement in May
